Our HOA "Safety Text Message Alert System" is utilized to notify those who participate in receiving safety text message alerts.
Safety Corner Welcome to a new year. However, we have new threats to our health and safety. The last ferocious storms we had may have caused tree limbs to crack or break. Frequently they will hang up on other branches. If you see one call the office immediately. They are not called WIDOW MAKERS for nothing. If one falls and hits you, you will have a VERY bad day! Another thing I noticed is that people have been blowing their pine needles into the street. This is EXCEEDINGLY DANGEROUS! Most nights we have frost on the ground, this makes the pine needles very slippery when walking with a cane or walker, which many of do.. Mobility scooters which some of us ride, such as myself, will slide while braking. So please, don't blow your needles in the street. You may inadvertently hurt one of your neighbors! While talking with a new neighbor a couple of streets down, she told me that she was afraid of power failure because she depends on powered equipment to live! If you have such a problem notify the office immediately. We can help, but only if we know you have an issue.

DO NOT confront the intruder. Go to a safe place, locked room, neighbors house etc.. Call 911 and give the best description you can. Stay as calm.
WHEN SAFE and after the police arrive, use our "See Something, Say Something" protocol (below.)
Residents who are worried about lost/stolen mail can get a locking USPS approved mailbox.

~ Sawdust on ground by gate to shopping center. If it catches fire we have no way out. Report to fire dept. or other appropriate authority.
~ Gates being opened on all sides of park for maximum exiting options in case of emergency and notification if park is under evacuation order. Tenant left park during Dorsey fire and got caught in traffic jam @ Sutton Rd. Only exit available at that time. Unable to find out if should stay or go. (Actually made the correct decision, if unsure or uneasy, leave!)
Our Safety Committee conducted a "Safety Survey," presented the facts of how the Dorsey Fire affected residents, shared how our HOA Board is working diligently to create a Safety Plan for our Olympia Glade Residents based upon Homeowners' concerns, that our HOA will coordinate that plan with Park Management, and stressed individual preparedness on the part of every Homeowner. See our "Members Only" Page for further details!
Olympia Glade Homeowner Attendees contributed as to how the Dorsey Fire affected them with regards to preparedness/lack of preparedness, gave input on how to improve park safety, targeted problems and a multitude of safety concerns, voiced disappointment as to Management's care towards safety, and offered numerous positive solutions. THANK YOU to those who volunteered to take Action Steps with us! See "Members Only" Page for futher details!
