Our Olympia Glade Mobile Estate Homeowner Community was recently highly supported by the Grass Valley City Council and the Grass Valley Police Department. How? Specifically, Jan Arbuckle, Grass Valley City Council Member and Alex Gammelgard, Grass Valley Police Chief, promptly responded to a well presented letter/email written by Nickolas Hopkins, Olympia Glade Homeowner, which was supported by many within our HOA Community. This grass roots effort compelled our city representatives and top local law enforcement officer to take action in quelling the loud music often proliferating past 10:00 pm from the neighboring 1849 Brewery. Both Ms. Arbuckle and Chief Gammelgard invited direct input and calls from Nick and his supporters here within our HOA. Thank you to our HOA member Nick and those who rallied to effect this change.

I am hoping that many of you who have not written or called the Nevada County Board of Supervisors will do so regarding the Space Rent Ordinance we so desperately need passing. At the rate of the increase I will run out of SS and a small monthly stipend from my 401K in the next five years.... Just might need to buy a small trailer, sell all I have and go offline and off the grid. If you haven't called or written please do so this week. The sups need to hear from us- crying about it later won't be any help.
Thanks,
Michael Driskill, Holly Drive

Directly across from Olympia Glade, Dorsey Marketplace is a 26.8 acre fully integrated mixed-use project which includes residential, commercial and community uses located in Grass Valley’s “Core Area” for infill, and is considered a priority development by the Grass Valley City Council.
The "Protect Grass Valley" Facebook Page, a meeting place for residents addressing growth and more in the Grass Valley Community, maintains updated information covering the Dorsey Marketplace.
Upon review of the official Dorsey Marketplace Environmental Impact Report (EIR), our HOA's Safety Committee drafted and sent a letter to the Grass Valley City Council citing specific Safety Concerns for our Residents. Find a link to view our letter on our Safety Page.

An Olympia Glade Resident had numerous Police visits due to false 911 calls reportedly coming from his landline phone number. After a week of this same occurrence, AT&T discovered a "glitch" in their system here within the park. The situation was resolved successfully.
